Leader of the People's Action Party who was elected 7th President of Singapore in 2011. From 1995 to 2003, he had served his country as Minister of Defense. Before receiving his PhD from the University of Adelaide, he earned a a Master's of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
